Laverne & The Starlites

For almost 2 years, from 1976 - 1978, I played trumpet and bass guitar with Laverne & the Starlites. We played just about every weekend in large ballrooms throughout Minnesota.

This was my first ever paying gig. In fact, I think I probably made more playing with the Starlites than any subsequent band. Not that it was a lot ($20 a night), but most of the bands that followed paid nothing.
