encounter - it's done
Principal photography was completed on January 14, 2001 with the shooting of the News Replay scene at Vic's house.
With limited hard drive space, the film was edited into chapters as we went along, so most of the film was in the can by the completion of filming.

If I've learned only one thing from this experience, it's about the dynamic nature of independent, no budget film making.
Everything is a compromise and every scene is going to turn out different than you had envisioned it.
Scenes are rewritten on the fly due to scheduling conflicts, location problems, the damn weather and the ever present technical issues.
Rewrites are happening on site because the room's too small or there's a window where there shouldn't be or there's no sunlight when it's supposed to be the middle of the friggin' day!
Just go with it!
So you have to learn to temper your expectations and reserve some of the creative process for the "on the fly" decisions.
Otherwise, you're going to wind up with the barrel of a 45 auto stuck in your mouth . . . one in the chamber . . . index finger quivering on the trigger . . . all the time knowing that you're just too much of a pussy to pull the trigger.
