At what point in time are you forced to admit that your own work has become so derivative that it's just not worth the effort anymore?

I ended up having a bunch of false starts thinking that I was coming up with this great new, original idea, only to find out that I'd already used that great idea 2 albums back.

Oh well, I guess it just forces you to be more diligent, while banging your head against the wall.

With that said, I'm really pleased with how everything finally came together on this. I've spent more time than ever before on vocals and re-mixing tracks until I was blue in the face.
